İmamoğlu calls citizens to Beşiktaş after Super Cup crisis: 'Bring your Atatürk portraits and flags!'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has invited Istanbul residents to Barbaros Square in Beşiktaş following the cancellation of the Super Cup final between Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray in Saudi Arabia, which was called off after permission was denied for Atatürk-themed shirts and banners.
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made a call to the people of Istanbul following the Super Cup crisis.
İmamoğlu stated, "Take your flag and come to Beşiktaş. I invite the people of Istanbul to Beşiktaş Barbaros Square today at 15:00 with Turkish flags, Atatürk portraits, and the flags of our sports clubs."
