İmamoğlu collects sufficient signatures: 'Primary' move from figures close to Kılıçdaroğlu
It has been learned that more than 100 deputies have signed for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu in the CHP, which is preparing to hold a primary on March 23 to determine its presidential candidate. It was noted that İmamoğlu's candidacy will be announced after the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting to be held on Saturday. On the other hand, it was stated that deputies close to the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, will not sign.
The Republican People's Party (CHP), which has called on the government for early elections, has officially started the process of determining its presidential candidate. In this direction, a primary will be held on March 23 to determine the candidate.
At least 20 deputies' signatures are required to be a candidate in the primary. For this reason, deputies in the CHP's parliamentary group continue to sign for the presidential candidacy.
MORE THAN 100 DEPUTIES SIGNED FOR İMAMOĞLU
According to NTV, the signature process, which began on February 17, will be completed today (February 21) at 17:00. It is stated that more than 100 deputies have signed for the candidacy of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu so far.

The CHP has 133 deputies. While 20 deputies' signatures will be sufficient to become a presidential candidate, it is a matter of curiosity whether all deputies will sign for İmamoğlu.
DEPUTIES CLOSE TO KILIÇDAROĞLU WILL NOT SIGN
It is stated that nearly 10 deputies who oppose the primary and are known for their closeness to former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu will not sign.

HE WILL APPLY FOR CANDIDACY
It was learned that İmamoğlu will apply for candidacy in the primary today through his lawyer.
On the other hand, 21 CHP provincial mayors had called on İmamoğlu to "be the presidential candidate" last week. According to information obtained, a call for candidacy may also come to İmamoğlu from CHP metropolitan mayors.
RIVAL TO İMAMOĞLU
Meanwhile, besides İmamoğlu, former CHP deputy Dursun Çiçek also announced his candidacy for the primary to be held for the presidential nomination.

TO BE ANNOUNCED ON SATURDAY
The signatures collected in parliament will be presented to the MYK to be held on Saturday. On Saturday, the presidential candidate or candidates who will compete in the CHP's primary to be held on March 23 will be announced.
