Imamoglu's reaction to Erdogan over 'Ministers'! 'Come all of you, what will happen?'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu reacted to ministers visiting shopkeepers on behalf of AKP candidate Murat Kurum and his rival.

Imamoglu answered questions from members of the press during his visit to the Life Valley.

"THEY ARE PUBLIC OFFICIALS..."

Highlights from Imamoglu's statements are as follows:

“You know, in the past, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister of Transport were made to resign during election periods so that they would be independent, and bureaucrats were appointed so that rights and laws would not be violated. Look at where we started and where we are now. Look at democracy, it's gone. Come all of you, what will happen?

You are asking for votes by visiting butcher shops and other shops; I feel sorry for him, it's a pity, he is in a difficult situation, may God help him. Instructions have been given, he has to go, what else can he do? Otherwise, he will lose his seat and have to ask for forgiveness. I feel sorry for the others. Can so many people be destroyed like this?

Today, one of the greatest harms the President has done to this country is that he is rotting even the talented people in his own close circle. He has exhausted them. Leave us alone, let us do our job; why are you sending us to butcher shops and here and there? Why are you putting ministers in a difficult situation? They are public officials. He has mixed everything up.

Therefore, this is not just a local election; this is a matter of democracy and public morality. Why should I hold my tongue? I have a responsibility to voice the grievances I receive from the nation. I cannot just stay silent; that is not how it works. I am the representative of 16 million people, and I am obligated to give the deserved response to all injustices."
