The shared video included footage and developments regarding the cancellation and renewal process that took place following the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality mayoral election held on March 31, 2019.

7 YEARS HAVE PASSED SINCE THE JUNE 23 ELECTIONS

Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was the CHP's candidate for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor, had received 13 thousand 729 more votes than AKP candidate Binali Yıldırım in the March 31, 2019 election. However, following the decision to cancel the elections, the ballot box was set up again in Istanbul on June 23, 2019.

In the repeated election, İmamoğlu increased the vote margin against Binali Yıldırım to 806 thousand 767.
