The first hearing of the investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on March 19, 2025, regarding allegations of corruption at the IMM, began on March 9, 2026.

The first two days of the hearing, held in the courtroom at Silivri Prison, were marked by arguments between CHP's imprisoned presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and the judge. The tension in the IMM trial continues on its third day.

While the hearing was ongoing, a striking post was made from İmamoğlu's Presidential Candidate Office account.

Emphasizing that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan gave the order for the March 19 operation, İmamoğlu noted that the 1-year cost of the operations was 250 billion dollars and that this price came out of the citizens' pockets.
