İmamoğlu shares: 'Pay-it-forward' bill payment is also a crime
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and sent to prison, reacted to the investigations into the 'pay-it-forward' bill payment project in a post on his social media account, saying, "My call to the people of Istanbul: let us increase solidarity; everyone who has the means should pay the bills of our low-income citizens."
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained at Silivri Prison, has made a new post on his social media account.
Sharing a post about the 'pay-it-forward' bill payment project, İmamoğlu called on citizens to show solidarity.
İmamoğlu stated, "Apparently, the 'pay-it-forward' bill payment project is also a crime; they are asking why we carried out this project, why it made a splash globally, and why we found financial support for this project."
Calling on the people of Istanbul, İmamoğlu said, "Let us increase solidarity; everyone who has the means should pay the bills of our low-income citizens."
