Imamoglu visits Ozel: The issue of trustees is on the agenda

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu will visit the TBMM tomorrow to meet with CHP Chairman Ozgur Ozel and the party's group deputy chairmen. 

During the meeting, Imamoglu will provide information regarding the work prepared by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey against the appointment of trustees and potential legislative proposals that could be submitted to Parliament.

ACTIVITY FOLLOWING KILICDAROGLU'S CALL 

Following the 7th CHP Chairman Kemal Kilicdaroglu's call to "close ranks," Imamoglu drew attention by posting on social media, "Our side is clear, it is the side of the nation." It was learned that following this message, he will travel to Ankara tomorrow to meet with both Ozgur Ozel and group deputy chairmen Gokhan Gunaydin, Murat Emir, and Ali Mahir Basarir.

WHAT WILL BE DONE AGAINST THE APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES? 

The meeting will address measures that can be taken against the appointment of trustees. Imamoglu recently visited Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Turk, who was removed from office and replaced by a trustee, to convey a message of solidarity. Imamoglu's visit, which aims to bring the work carried out by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey on this issue to the TBMM agenda, is expected to contribute to the CHP's roadmap in this area.
