Individual released from prison on holiday leave stabs three people

The incident occurred in the Cedit neighborhood during the evening hours. According to the information received, an individual who had been released from prison on holiday leave attacked three people in the same house with a knife for unknown reasons and then fled. Upon notification by bystanders, medical teams and police were dispatched to the scene. The injured individuals were taken to Kocaeli City Hospital after initial intervention by medical teams and were placed under treatment.

The police launched an investigation to track down the suspect, who had disappeared after the incident. Suspecting that the individual might be hiding in the Cedit urban transformation construction site in the Dereboğazı area, AFAD and fire department teams were directed to the region. In the dangerous area, which features high slopes and pits, teams conducted an extensive search in the darkness of the night using thermal drones. However, the suspect could not be located during the operations carried out throughout the night.

As a result of the operation continued in the morning hours, the person identified as responsible for the attack was taken into custody. While a judicial investigation has been launched into the incident, the moments of the knife attack were reflected in the building's security camera footage.
