Individual who filed complaint against Muhittin Böcek detained in drug operation

Significant developments occurred last night in a long-running "drug" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. In the operation, which included well-known figures, simultaneous raids were carried out on various addresses, and a large number of people were detained.

The statement indicated that within the scope of the investigation, which aims to protect public morality, family structure, and order, detention orders were issued for a total of 16 suspects on charges of "possessing or facilitating the use of narcotic substances." The operations, carried out by teams from the Istanbul Narcotics Crimes Investigation Branch, involved simultaneous raids on 16 different addresses.

It was noted that those detained included figures from the business, arts, and social circles who are well-known to the public. The names mentioned in the investigation include Fikret Orman, Güzide Aksoy (Güzide Duran), Hakan Sabancı, Kerim Sabancı, Hande Erçel, Burak Elmas, Sezgin Köysüren, Ferhat Aydın, Lütfiye Tuğçe Özbudak, Koray Serenli, Onur Bükçü, İsmail Behram Perinçekli, Kaan Mellart, Didem Soydan, Onur Talay, and Mustafa Tari.

Köysüren's name had previously come to the fore within the scope of an investigation conducted into Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek. In that investigation, it was alleged that certain benefits were demanded from Köysüren during the election period, and that the businessman accepted some of these demands and transferred a certain number of shops.

According to the allegations, it was claimed that during the construction phase of the EKPA-1453 housing project, some municipal officials exerted pressure on Sezgin Köysüren during the licensing and occupancy permit processes. In his statement, Köysüren said that he was asked for six shops by the Metropolitan Municipality Head of the Department of Science Affairs and Secretary General Serkan Temuçin and the General Manager of the municipal subsidiary ANTEPE, İsmail Erdoğmuş, and that he was forced to transfer a total of five shops through different names following this pressure.

Again, according to Köysüren's account, it was alleged that during these transfers, four shops were requested for Muhittin Böcek and one shop for Serkan Temuçin. Although it was made to appear as if payments were made via bank transfer during the title deed transfers, it was alleged that this money was later withdrawn in cash and delivered to individuals specified by Temuçin.
