Individual who told police 'If you're men, come and get me' arrested
In Adana, a person in a group gathered for street racing posted a video on social media in which they cursed at the police officers who intervened, saying, "If you're men, come and get me." The individual was apprehended by robbery bureau police and subsequently arrested by the court.
According to allegations, 25-year-old Mehmet K. joined a group that had gathered for street racing within the Metal Industry area of the Yeşiloba neighborhood in the Seyhan district.
Teams from the Traffic Branch and Inspection Directorate arrived at the scene and warned the group to disperse. While some of the group dispersed following the warnings, others did not. Police intervened with pepper spray against Mehmet K. and his friends, who had refused to leave, and cleared them from the area.
Shortly after this incident, Mehmet K. shared a video on social media in which he used severe profanity against the police. In the video, along with the insults, he challenged the officers by saying, "If you're men, come and get me."
Following the post, teams from the Robbery Bureau of the Public Security Branch took action. Robbery police apprehended Mehmet K. in an operation conducted at his home in the Yeşilevler neighborhood.
It was alleged that the suspect stated in his police testimony, "I posted it because I was intoxicated." After his processing, Mehmet K. was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the court.
