Inmates and detainees in penal institutions will be granted the opportunity for open visitation on May 19, Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that inmates and detainees in penal institutions will be granted the opportunity for open visitation due to the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
Minister Tunç stated the following in a post on his social media account:
"As the Ministry of Justice, in accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation on Visiting Convicts and Detainees, titled 'Open visitation on holidays and special days,' we will provide the opportunity for inmates and detainees in penal institutions to conduct their visits with relatives who have visitation rights as open visits due to the 'May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day'."
