Interesting advice from Hulusi Akar to university students: 'Drop out of school and...'

Hulusi Akar, Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and AK Party Kayseri Deputy, emphasized global leaps in technology during an event where he met with young people at Aksaray University. At the meeting organized within the scope of TÜGVA's Specialization Academy, Akar stated that Turkish youth must closely follow innovative developments in the world.

In his speech, Hulusi Akar spoke about the rapid progress of technology, especially in the field of artificial intelligence. Noting that it is inevitable for young people to keep up with this change, Akar made the following call to students:

"Starting tomorrow, drop everything, drop out of school, tell your parents or don't tell them, go to China. China has advanced significantly in technology. Stay there for 3-5 years."

Akar stated that China has emerged as a technology hub in recent years, with Hong Kong and Beijing becoming bases in this field. He also claimed that Japan is now in second place and Silicon Valley in the United States is in third. Pointing to these developments, Akar emphasized that there are many reasons to direct young people to China.

"WE MISSED THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION, LET'S NOT MISS THE TECHNOLOGY ERA"

Expressing that catching up with technological developments is of great importance for Turkey, Akar stated that the delay experienced during the industrial revolution should not be repeated in the technology era. Continuing his words by recalling the words of Alibaba founder Jack Ma, "Do not be afraid of robots or artificial intelligence in any way," Akar said:

"We have hearts, they have chips. The heart will beat the chip. Alibaba has allocated a budget of 50 billion dollars for R&D research for the development of robots related to this artificial intelligence. Now everywhere is a laboratory, everywhere is a technopark. Therefore, I attach great importance to our young people going to China. If we missed the industrial revolution, we must not miss the technology era. And the source of this is China."
