Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on his X account that 49 people have lost their lives in the first 6 days of the Eid al-Adha holiday.

Yerlikaya shared the following information in his statement:

"On the 6th day of the holiday, Thursday, June 20, 668 traffic accidents occurred within a 24-hour period. Unfortunately, 13 people lost their lives and 1 thousand 133 people were injured. 414 thousand 776 vehicles were inspected. Speeding and radar penalties were issued to 22 thousand 592 vehicles, and other penalties were issued to 39 thousand 56 vehicles. Unfortunately, in the first 6 days of the holiday, 49 people lost their lives and 7 thousand 683 people were injured."

The return journeys of our citizens who went to various provinces of our country for the holiday have begun. Traffic density is increasing again.
