Interior Minister Yerlikaya announces one-week traffic inspection data
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya reported that 1 million 896 thousand 66 vehicles were inspected between May 2-9, with a total of 373 thousand 306 penalty procedures carried out.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared data on his social media account regarding traffic inspections conducted by traffic teams during the one-week period covering May 2-9.
Stating that 1 million 896 thousand 66 vehicles were inspected on the specified dates, Yerlikaya noted that action was taken against 240 drivers who installed and used devices with light or sound warning signals (sirens/flashers) on vehicles not permitted by legislation.
Yerlikaya reported that a total of 373 thousand 306 procedures were carried out, 99 thousand 794 of which were due to speeding, and stated, "Please strictly obey traffic rules and do not speed. Let us not neglect to wear seat belts. Journeys exist to reunite you with your loved ones, not to separate you."
