Interior Minister Yerlikaya: We must identify irregular migrants in a city of 16 million

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, in his speech at the AK Party Bursa Provincial Headquarters, stated that if there is peace in a place, other things will follow.

Yerlikaya shared the following:

"We believe in the blessing of consultation. Our focus is on four areas: first, the fight against all terrorist organizations, primarily the separatist terrorist organization; second, drug traffickers, from street dealers to drug barons; third, organized crime gangs, or as I call them, those who are arrogant in committing crimes; and fourth, the fight against irregular migration. We call a foreigner whose entry, stay, and exit from our country is not legal an irregular migrant. There are also regular migrants. This is the exact opposite. Their entry, stay, and exit from our country are legal. These are regular migrants. Therefore, we have been focused on our efforts regarding irregular migrants, not regular migrants, since the very first day we arrived."

'ZERO COMPLICATION'

Explaining that they have implemented the Mobile Migration Point practice in Istanbul, Yerlikaya said, "We said that in a city of 16 million, where there are nearly 17 million tourists and over 1 million foreigners living, we must identify irregular migrants while respecting rights and laws, and ensure this is done with zero complications."

Touching upon the operation of the Mobile Migration Point, Yerlikaya noted the following:

Stating that they are increasing the number of Mobile Migration Points regarding irregular migration, Yerlikaya used the expression, "As of November 1, our fleet will reach 155 vehicle points. In all metropolitan cities, we will ensure that irregular migrants are apprehended and deported to their own countries, so that there will not be a single illegal migrant among us."
