Intervention in protest at Boğaziçi University! 4 people arrested
Following the recent protest events at Boğaziçi University, 15 of the 97 people detained were referred to the Duty Magistrate Court with a request for arrest. 4 of these individuals were arrested.
Reactions toward Nurettin Yıldız, who was invited to an event organized by the university's Islamic Research Club, led to protest demonstrations and subsequent scuffles. In the police intervention against the protesting students, 97 people were detained, and 82 were released after giving their statements.
The 15 individuals whose procedures were completed at the Istanbul Police Department were referred to the courthouse with a request for arrest. The Duty Magistrate Court decided to arrest 4 of the 15 people and release 11 others under judicial control conditions.
