Intoxicated individual sets house on fire in Samsun
In Samsun, an intoxicated individual set his house on fire while his family was away for iftar. The fire was extinguished by fire department crews, and the individual was taken into custody by the police.
The incident occurred at approximately 22:15 in the Devgeriş neighborhood of the Canik district. According to the information obtained, an individual identified as H.İ.İ., whose wife and children were reportedly away visiting his daughter for iftar, set his house on fire while he was home alone. As flames engulfed the interior of the single-story house, fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
While the intoxicated H.İ.İ. was taken into custody by the police, crews from the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department intervened and extinguished the fire.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
