Duygu Nebioğlu, the daughter of Metin Akpınar who appeared on Müge Anlı's program, had claimed that Uğur Dündar could be the father of her sister.

Journalist Uğur Dündar made statements regarding the paternity suit filed by Dilara Gülatan, the sister of Metin Akpınar's daughter Duygu Nebioğlu.

In a statement on his social media account, Dündar said, "A woman you have never met in your life, whose hand you have never even held, makes up a lie and slanders you by claiming she has a child with you. And you find yourself in court." Stating that "The court refers you and the person claimed to be your daughter to the Council of Forensic Medicine," Dündar added, "Your blood sample is taken at a full-fledged state hospital in the manner requested by the court. You wait for months. In the end, the Forensic Medicine Report confirms you. The other party's biological paternity claim is rejected."

Dündar had announced that the DNA test came back negative and that the matter was closed for him.
