Investigation launched into traffic accident involving former ministers
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that a judicial investigation has been launched into the multi-vehicle traffic accident that occurred in Eskişehir.
Eight people were injured in a multi-vehicle traffic accident that occurred in the Oğlakçı area of Kaymaz neighborhood in the Sivrihisar district of Eskişehir.
Following the accident, medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was learned that among the injured were former Minister of Culture and Tourism Atilla Koç and former Minister of Family, Labor and Social Services Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk. The injured, who received their initial interventions at the scene, were subsequently transported to hospitals.
CONDITION OF THE INJURED IS GOOD
It was reported that the injured individuals taken to the hospital are not in life-threatening condition.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced that a judicial process has been initiated regarding the accident. In a post on his social media account, Gürlek stated the following:
“A judicial investigation has been launched by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the multi-vehicle traffic accident that occurred tonight in Eskişehir. I convey my best wishes for a speedy recovery to our former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Atilla Koç, our former Minister of Family and Social Services, Ms. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, and our valued citizens affected by the accident. I pray to God for a speedy recovery for all the injured affected by the accident and hope they regain their health as soon as possible.”
