Iran to earn 2 million dollars from every ship passing through Hormuz
The revenue generated from the Strait of Hormuz is planned to be transferred directly to the country's reconstruction and development projects.
Iranian State Television IRIB, in its latest report citing government sources, announced that a transit fee of 2 million dollars will be collected from every ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz. It is estimated that Iran, along with Oman, will generate 64 billion dollars in annual revenue from the fees collected for passages through the Strait of Hormuz. The revenue generated is planned to be transferred directly to the country's reconstruction and development projects.
On the other hand, it was specifically noted that Iran's ballistic missile program and its support for proxy forces in the region will be maintained in their current form. Iranian state television stated that the ceasefire achieved is an important diplomatic success for the country.
It is considered that the new implementation will also be closely monitored in terms of global maritime trade.
