Iran warns Gulf countries regarding US attacks

The Iranian Foreign Ministry has issued an important call to Gulf countries regarding the attacks carried out by the US against Iran within the last 24 hours, conveying the message that these countries should not allow their territories to be used for military strikes.

In a statement released by the Iranian Foreign Ministry, it was alleged that military bases in certain Gulf countries in the region were actively used during the air operations conducted by the US against Iran. In its warning, the Iranian administration emphasized that such attacks are contrary to international law and the United Nations Charter.

The statement strongly condemned the attacks that took place within the last 24 hours, alleging that the points targeted by the US military were mostly areas inhabited by civilian populations and that the Washington administration was therefore committing war crimes. Furthermore, it was noted that these attacks complicate efforts to reduce regional tensions and constitute a complete violation of existing agreements.

Iran also specifically addressed US interventions in the Strait of Hormuz that jeopardize security. The assessment emphasized that the US is endangering peace in the region and creating an environment of insecurity in the strait.

The declaration also reminded neighboring and regional countries that they are obligated under international law to guarantee that their territories cannot be used for military attacks against Iran. Iran stated that any response to the source of attacks launched against its territory would be considered within the scope of 'self-defense'.
