It had been stated that the AKP, which recently imposed access bans on Roblox and Wattpad in addition to Instagram, would also impose an access ban on TikTok.
Speaking on the question of "Will TIKTOK be shut down?", the Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Digital Channels Commission, AKP Hatay Deputy Hüseyin Yayman, had used the expression "Our nation wants TikTok to be shut down."
