ISIS operation in 39 provinces: 361 suspects apprehended
In operations conducted against ISIS over the last 20 days in 39 provinces, coordinated by the Police, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), and Public Prosecutor's Offices, 361 suspects were apprehended. It was determined that the suspects had been active within the organization and provided financial support.
The Ministry of Interior announced that large-scale operations were carried out against the ISIS terrorist organization in 39 provinces, resulting in the apprehension of 361 suspects.
In a post shared on the Ministry's social media account, it was stated that the operations were conducted under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Intelligence Department, the Counter-Terrorism Department, the National Intelligence Organization (MİT), and the Public Prosecutor's Offices.
OPERATIONS CONDUCTED IN THE LAST 20 DAYS
The statement indicated that, as a result of the efforts of the Provincial Police Departments' Counter-Terrorism Branches, suspects identified as having previously operated within the ISIS terrorist organization and provided financing to the group were apprehended in operations carried out over the last 20 days.
In its post, the Ministry of Interior emphasized that security forces are continuing their operations against ISIS's operational and financial structures without interruption.
Furthermore, the police teams involved in the operations, the Intelligence Department, the Counter-Terrorism Department, the MİT, the Public Prosecutor's Offices, and all personnel who contributed were congratulated.
