Ismailaga Community levels harsh, point-by-point accusations against 'Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca': 'His ties to the lodge and community have been severed'

The Ismailaga Community has announced that Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known to the public as Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, no longer has any connection with them.

The decision in question was announced via a 'press statement' shared on the community's official website.

The statement emphasized Cübbeli's attempts regarding 'rabita' (spiritual connection) and the videos he has published recently. It was also noted that the statement, which was presented point-by-point, highlighted the ongoing internal debates within the community.

An Important Announcement to Our Brethren and the Entire Public

The sublime Naqshbandi order has been serving humanity for 1400 years for the Islamization of continents and for the steadfastness and uprightness of Muslim societies on the straight path. The 32nd golden link of the luminous chain that followed one another in every century blessed Istanbul through Mawlana Mustafa Ismet Gharibullah, the Great Sheikh Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), and after Ali Haydar Ahishavi (may his secret be sanctified), the trust was transferred to our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) Efendi. Our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) transformed the service he inherited into a great cause with high aspiration and brought it to this day. The activities and services carried out within the framework of this method and cause have grown and developed under the leadership of Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), with the committee appointed by our Mahmud Efendi in the presence of over 300 scholar efendis in 2005.

The path of Sufism is a path to reaching high virtues and stations. Due to this blessing, just as every disciple has various individual tests on the path of 'sayr u suluk' (spiritual journey), sometimes the disciples as a whole face a test. The most difficult situation a disciple can face is undoubtedly the passing of their murshid (spiritual guide) to the afterlife. The most severe of those collective tests begins after the death of the murshid.

After the passing of Ali Haydar Ahishavi (may his secret be sanctified) to the afterlife, a test also occurred; over time, the clouds of discord dispersed, and our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) continued his guidance activities throughout his life as the imam of the sublime order. As the spiritual children of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), we have been facing a great discord and test situation for some time under the guise of love for him. Today, this sublime trust has been transferred to the 37th link of the golden chain, Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified). This truth was announced to our brethren and the public by his son, Ahmet Ustaosmanoğlu Hoca Efendi, immediately after the funeral prayer, in accordance with the will of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), which reached the level of 'tawatur' (mass transmission). We believe that this path will endure until the Day of Judgment with the blessing of the prayer our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) made at the Multazam, which was promised to be accepted.

Just as the chain continued with golden links after Imam Rabbani (may his secret be sanctified), who declared that the path of 'nisbet' (spiritual connection) would reach Hazrat Mahdi (may Allah be pleased with him), and this situation did not prevent the connection from continuing, this path will continue after our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) with golden links added one after another. The passing of golden links among the sheikhs has not prevented the connection and spiritual influence of those great figures from reaching us. The fact that other branches of the order, which were claimed to continue through deputies in the recent past, were closed over time and their connection was severed, should also be remembered with importance.

Following the passing of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) to the afterlife, a dirty propaganda was initiated by certain circles, and as stated in the previous announcement of the Consultative Committee, an attempt was made to hide a truth that is established at the level of 'tawatur' in the presence of witnesses. However, the testimony of our elders, who are a legacy to us from Ali Haydar Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) and some of whom are still alive and well today, is also clear. Today, being protected from discord is possible by following the testimony and blessing of those great figures.

Our Sheikh Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) has rejected Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca

In line with the propaganda that was initiated with the passing of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) to the afterlife and has turned into a dirty path with phone calls, secret voice recordings, and heaps of visions and dreams published by Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, especially in the last six months, as reflected in the public eye, Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca wanted to meet with our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified). When the matter was presented to our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), he clearly stated that he did not want to meet, as can be seen in the video.

There are certainly many reasons for this proposal not being accepted, beyond exceeding the boundaries of etiquette of the sublime order, and the necessity of explaining some of these reasons has arisen. The reason why we have not responded to Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca's lies and slanders until today is so that the confidential matters regarding our order do not become a subject of public debate and in accordance with the order of our sheikh, Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), to "Be silent!"

1-He has exposed the confidential matters of our order

Although the view of our path regarding the media is clearly known, Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, despite being warned repeatedly and giving his word every time, has carried the confidential matters of our order to podiums and even television programs, making them material for mocking comments by people known for their hostility toward our sublime religion of Islam and Muslims.

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca does not listen to the elders of our community today, and in fact, he did not listen to our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) on many points. He has stated this openly on the television channels he appeared on. While he started his speech by saying, "What is sheikhdom to me, it is enough if I am a disciple," he claimed the work of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) and the distinguished scholars he trained for himself by saying, "I brought 95 percent of this community." He expressed that he did not listen to the words of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) in a television program he attended as follows:

"Efendi Hazretleri said to me, 'Do not preach, teach students!', I did not listen and got into trouble. He said, 'Do not put your voice on cassettes!', I had it recorded and I went to prison because of my earthquake sermon. He said, 'Do not take a second wife!', I did not listen and got into trouble. He said, 'Do not establish a television station!', I did not listen and got into trouble. He said, 'Do not build a complex!', I did not listen and went to prison..."

Some of the things Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca did, which were intentionally brought to the agenda by a segment of the media, saddened our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified). In fact, when he once asked our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) whether he would recover when he was ill, he received the answer, "We have more to suffer from you," and he recounted this with the confession, "Indeed, we did suffer."

2-He has targeted the family of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified)

What Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca said, especially regarding the son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), the posts of the social media accounts he manages, and the spreading of voice recordings of women whose voices have not been heard by non-mahram (unrelated) people until today, are proof that he has no love for our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified). Because no one would consent to the slander of the children, grandchildren, and relatives of someone they love, or even to them being targeted to the extent that their lives are endangered.

3-He is being disrespectful to our Hasan Efendi Efendi

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, in the first television programs he attended after the passing of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) to the afterlife and in his subsequent statements, emphasized that he accepted our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) as the caliph and would not break this acceptance with the statement, "I am not a man of the character to say this on television and then twist my words like others," but later changed his rhetoric, denied his caliphate, and entered a path aimed at lowering his spiritual value. Claiming to protect our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), he deceived his listeners and made negative statements about his perfection.

He targeted the sons and daughter of our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) and had his daughter's voice recording published.

4- He is working to dismantle the community

Our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) did not give Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca any duty regarding the order. Despite this, he makes statements as if he has a say in these matters after the passing of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) to the afterlife and tries to direct the brethren.

'Rabita' is the excuse for the dismantling project

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca is acting on the issue of 'rabita' in line with the plan to dismantle the community. Although he had no duty regarding the order during the life of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), he is carrying out a process he constructed over 'rabita'. He is playing with the future of our order by forcing everyone to accept his own claim, even though the record "...until Hazrat Mahdi (may Allah be pleased with him)" does not exist in a conversation that contains no certainty and has no witnesses.

As a matter of fact, during a meeting where Ahmet Ustaosmanoğlu, Hüsameddin Vanlıoğlu, Fatih Kalender, Hüseyin Avni, and Muhammed Yelkenci Hoca Efendis were present, when asked where the record "...until Hazrat Mahdi (may Allah be pleased with him)" came from, he clearly stated that he had made it up. This situation reveals that the narrations conveyed by Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca and the narrations he will make from now on should not be trusted.

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, appearing to defend that the spiritual influence of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) continues, is trying to turn our order into a path that will eventually close down without another sheikh coming, a path whose connection has been severed.

He is targeting the scholars of our community

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca is trying to discredit the scholars of our community with lies and slanders. While it cannot be expected for someone to work to discredit the scholars trained by someone they love, he has targeted the scholars one by one with simultaneous posts from various social media accounts whose connection to him is obvious.

He is trying to divide the order as the first step of dismantling the community

While Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca says not to go to the sermons of some deputies with the claim that they have corrupted the 'rabita' and not to change their order lessons from them, he addresses them by saying that lessons can be changed from deputies he claims think like him.

Starting from the issue of changing lessons, he is dividing our order by separating the deputies into those appointed during the period of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) and those appointed later by the Consultative Committee.

He is causing our community to lose prestige

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca constantly carries internal community issues to television channels and causes Islamic communities to be misrecognized by appearing on television programs, especially of those known for their order-community hostility. Due to the black propaganda carried out based on the materials he provides to enemies of religion and sacred values, the spiritual value and prestige of all communities, especially our community, in the eyes of the public are being damaged. With some of his rhetoric and targeting, he is causing division and polarization in society.

His words about not giving students to the madrasas, which our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) valued and cared for the most throughout his guidance life, and not making donations and aid, and his targeting of the Perfection Madrasas and the Fiqh Board, damage the high prestige of our community in the eyes of the public, which is the greatest legacy of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified) to us.

He is veiling the truth by frightening the masses

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca associates the process he is conducting over the issue of 'rabita' with ecumenism and other global plans that we know have existed regarding our community from the past, and misleads his listeners and followers by intentionally linking some unrelated situations. As a matter of fact, the association of our community with FETÖ, with which its name has never been side-by-side in the past and cannot be side-by-side after today, and being faced with the accusation of moderation, is an indication of this direction.

Final Word

We continue to train scholars and build institutions that will gift the scholars of the future to the Ummah of Muhammad so that our guidance activities, which continue with the madrasa-lodge unity that we believe will remain standing as long as the world exists, are not interrupted.

To preserve the sacred path that is the legacy of our Mahmud Efendi (may his secret be sanctified), we will always stand against words and behaviors that will bring harm to the sublime order and the great cause.

Cübbeli Ahmet Hoca, who insists on not changing his attitude despite the consultations held with him for some time and continues to mislead our brethren and the public, has become someone who harms our order and our services with his words and behaviors and has not accepted the sheikhdom of our Hasan Efendi (may his secret be sanctified). Based on this fact, we respectfully announce to our brethren and the entire public that he has no connection left with our lodge and our community, and that his views and statements have no binding nature for our community.
