Israeli Army: 'We cannot rescue all Israeli hostages in Gaza through military operations'

Israeli Army Spokesperson Daniel Hagari, in a press conference, provided an assessment regarding the killing of 8 Israeli soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip.

Stating that a team of experts will carefully investigate the incident in Rafah where 8 soldiers were killed, Hagari said, "We are trying to create the conditions for all hostages to return home as soon as possible, but we cannot bring all the hostages back through military operations."

In a written statement issued today by the Al-Qassam Brigades, it was stated that a complex ambush was set for an Israeli military vehicle entering the As-Saudi area in Tel al-Sultan, located in the west of Rafah city, and that the soldiers targeted with "Yasin 105" rockets were killed and wounded.

The Israeli Army later confirmed in a statement that 8 soldiers, including a deputy company commander from the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion, were killed in clashes in the southern Gaza Strip.
