Israeli citizens are leaving Turkey following the call
Following the protests that began across Turkey after Israel targeted a hospital in Gaza, an Arkia Airlines plane from Tel Aviv has landed in Istanbul for Israeli citizens who wish to leave Turkey. The plane is expected to depart from Istanbul in the evening.
The Israeli National Security Council issued a statement to its citizens in Turkey yesterday, calling on them to leave Turkey as soon as possible.
Today, an Embraer E195 type aircraft belonging to Arkia Airlines departed from Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and landed at Istanbul Airport in the evening.
TWO FLIGHTS WILL BE OPERATED
Israeli citizens wishing to leave Turkey proceeded to the boarding gate after completing their ticket and baggage procedures and passing through passport control. Passengers will be boarded onto the plane following a security check there.
The Arkia flight, operating as IZ1036, is expected to take off from Istanbul at 19:30.
Meanwhile, it has been learned that a second plane belonging to El Al Airlines for Israeli citizens will be in Istanbul around 22:00.
