Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to meet with security officials: Agenda is Turkey

Netanyahu held a similar security meeting last week to address developments in Syria. The Israeli press had suggested that Netanyahu was following "Turkey's growing influence in Syria" with concern.

According to claims in the Israeli media, discussions covering military and economic cooperation are taking place between the Syrian administration and Turkey.

While it is alleged that the transfer of a military base in the Tadmur (Palmyra) region of Homs province to the Turkish army is on the table, it is stated that Israel is seriously disturbed by this potential development.

ISRAEL HAS INCREASED ITS ATTACKS ON SYRIA

The internal conflicts that intensified in Syria on November 27, 2024, led to the collapse of the 61-year-old Baath regime on December 8, 2024. During this process, the Israeli army also accelerated its military operations in Syria.
