Istanbul Governor Gül’s ‘normalization’ tour of the media
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül visited the Istanbul offices of T24, Cumhuriyet, Halk TV, KRT, Ekol TV, and OdaTV, holding meetings with the executives of these news media organizations.
During his visit to T24's office in Beyoğlu, Governor Gül was welcomed by Editor-in-Chief Doğan Akın, General Coordinator Sertuğ Çiçek, Managing Editor Candan Yıldız, Columnist Murat Sabuncu, News Coordinator Metin Kaan Kurtuluş, Video Coordinator Faruk Ekici, Podcast Editor Hazal Sipahi, and Editor Berna Abik.
At OdaTV's office in Şişli, Gül met with Managing Editor Can Özçelik and News Coordinator Hazar Şahsuvar before visiting the editorial department.
Davut Gül met with Channel Manager İbrahim Özdemir, Editor-in-Chief Suat Toktaş, and journalist İsmail Küçükkaya at Halk TV. Governor Gül also conveyed his condolences for the passing of İsmail Küçükkaya's mother, Halise Küçükkaya.
Istanbul Governor Gül met with Chairman of the Board Emrah Doğru, News Director Serhat Alaattinoğlu, and journalist Sevilay Yılman at Ekol TV.
Governor Gül also met with Editor-in-Chief Mine Esen at the Cumhuriyet newspaper.
Gül met with the owner, Fırat Bozfırat, at KRT TV.
