The Istanbul Governor's Office issued a warning to citizens for tonight via its social media account.
The governor's office, which warned that the expected rainfall could cause sudden floods and flash floods, made the following statement:
"According to the Meteorology Department;
Thunderstorms and heavy rainfall are expected in Istanbul starting from tonight, with local heavy and, in some places, very heavy precipitation (30-70kg/m2) expected.
Citizens should be careful and take precautions against negative conditions such as sudden floods, flash floods, and lightning strikes."
