Istanbul Governor's Office issues 'heavy thunderstorm' warning
The Istanbul Governor's Office has issued a warning to be cautious against potential negative impacts due to heavy rainfall expected to affect the city.
In a statement made on the Governor's Office's social media account, the assessments of the Meteorology 1st Regional Directorate's Istanbul Regional Forecast and Early Warning Center were included.
The statement, which noted that locally heavy and thundery showers are expected in Istanbul, starting from the western districts this evening, used the following expression: "Citizens should be careful and cautious against negative conditions such as flash floods, inundation, lightning, disruptions in transportation, strong winds during precipitation, and small-scale hail, which are expected to be intermittent and locally effective until tomorrow evening."
