The bronze statue belonging to Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius was smuggled from the ancient city of Boubon, located in the Gölhisar district of Burdur, approximately 65 years ago and taken abroad. Following a long legal and diplomatic struggle, the statue in question was returned to Turkey from the USA.
