İYİ Party decides on extraordinary meeting... Dervişoğlu issues call

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu has issued a call for an extraordinary meeting of party members. At Dervişoğlu's request, members of the İYİ Party Presidential Council and members of parliament will gather at the Party Headquarters at 18:00.

Dervişoğlu attended the opening ceremony of the Political Research Center (SİYASAM) and made assessments regarding the political agenda in his speech there. Speaking to members of the press before the ceremony, Dervişoğlu expressed his reaction to the meetings held with terrorist leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Emphasizing that he expects an explanation from the government regarding how the ongoing process will contribute to the country, Dervişoğlu stated the following:

''Let those who govern this country, not me, explain the benefit that a process to be arranged under the guidance of the leader of a treacherous organization that has turned Turkey into a bloodbath for exactly 50 years will provide to Turkey.''

Regarding a question about the primary election meeting organized by the CHP with the slogan 'Come, Choose, Go Down in History' to determine its presidential candidate for the next election, Dervişoğlu said, ''It is not Turkey's issue. I evaluate it as an internal matter of the Republican People's Party.''

IMRALI DELEGATION'S STATEMENT TO BE DISCUSSED

The DEM Party Imralı delegation held a meeting with terrorist leader Öcalan today. It was reported that the Imralı delegation will make a statement in Istanbul at 17:00. The delegation is expected to convey Öcalan's call for the PKK terrorist organization to lay down its arms during the meeting.

It was learned that the messages to be given by the DEM Party Imralı delegation will be discussed at the İYİ Party's extraordinary meeting. The Imralı delegation is expected to convey Öcalan's call in the press statement it will make today at 17:00.
