Speaking at his party's group meeting, İYİ Party leader Müsavat Dervişoğlu reacted sharply to the attacks on Ayyüce Türkeş and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu made statements regarding the agenda at his party's group meeting in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

On Dervişoğlu's agenda were the attacks on his party's deputy Ayyüce Türkeş and CHP leader Özgür Özel.
Reacting sharply to the attacks, Dervişoğlu stated the following:
"What is your purpose? A criminal, a murderer of children, has benefited from the execution law and is walking among us. He attacks a party chairman on live television. These attacks, which target the right to engage in politics granted to every citizen by the Constitution, are not a simple judicial case. They are not ordinary acts of force. This is a direct threat to the constitutional order and the fundamental principles of the Republic.
It is an imposition that 'we can make anyone do whatever we want in this country.' We will not give in to this. Everyone should know this well."
Dervişoğlu's statements are as follows:
Highlights from İYİ Party leader Dervişoğlu's speech are as follows:
"The night connecting Monday to Tuesday was Hıdırellez, the harbinger of abundance and prosperity.
We gave the good news of the Turk's peace, happiness, sovereignty, and independence on May 3rd. We saw that good news in every shining eye.
We have renewed this trust for the year we left behind and for the years to come.
"WE WILL PERSIST ON THIS PATH WITH GREATER DETERMINATION"
Remember, I said at this podium that 'our voice will not remain in the air.' Thank God it did not. Now, we will persist on this path with greater faith and stronger determination, and we will amplify this voice.
My dear fellow travelers, one year ago, in the first group meeting I attended at this podium as Chairman, that speech I made had three main headings, three calls.
I would like to remember and remind you. Because not forgetting is the most important and perhaps the only way not to normalize what we have experienced.
Here, the first of those calls was justice. I expressed that demand, and perhaps that cry, with the pain of the wound opened in hearts and consciences by the murder of the late Sinan Ateş and the lack of intention for justice to be served.
Stating that the investigation completed in those days had turned into a mere favor, I said, 'Either justice or doomsday.'
In the past year, in the name of justice, another doomsday has broken almost every day. We heard some, and some we could not hear.
These are the silences of a desperate woman, a child alone, an elderly person with no one.
And the screams and rebellions we hear are still ringing.
"TURKEY HAS BECOME UNABLE TO EVEN TALK ABOUT ITS POVERTY"
We only remember poverty now when the monthly inflation is announced. Turkey has become unable to even talk about its poverty.
Those who worry about these rates, research them, and question them, and even those who say, 'Those figures are not like that; they are like this,' are being investigated and thrown into prison.
They say monthly inflation is 3 percent; annual is 37 percent. Housing prices, however, have increased by 70 percent in one year.
What are you talking about?
They burned 57 billion dollars in one month and are telling fairy tales saying, 'The effect of the arrest passed in a few days.'
Who are you telling what to?
"YOU ARE GIVING WHAT YOU COLLECT FROM THE POOR TO THE FINANCE BARONS"
Treasury and Finance Minister, tax collector Mehmet Bey. You are constantly collecting taxes.
You take the taxes you collect from the poor and needy and pay them to finance barons as dollar interest, and then you say the economy is improving.
Do you think the nation is foolish?
"WHICH WOUND DO THE DISCUSSED ISSUES HEAL?"
Today, the agendas that the palace government keeps us all busy and distracted with, the issues discussed on television day and night, which wound do they heal, which of our troubles do they remedy?
What is poison to us is medicine to them!
What it injected into the nation was a 'so-called New Constitution.' To say 'New Constitution' to a nation that is lawless, unjust, and moreover, without bread, is nothing but engaging in absurdity.
I say it again, it means 'If you cannot find bread, eat the constitution.'
They brought us here again with the bait of a New Constitution. Then what did they do? They started the policy of trustees.
While giving us lessons in democracy, they appointed trustees to whichever municipality they wanted that day, whichever province or district they set their eyes on.
While doing this, they used terrorism as an excuse, and in the end, they reached out to the terrorist leader. They said democracy, and even two days ago, they commanded, 'With a Turkey without terror, the political tension over our democracy will be lifted.'
"WHERE THE REPUBLIC IS TARGETED, DEMOCRACY DIES FIRST"
Let me tell you the truth of the matter:
There is no tension problem over our democracy. Because our democracy has no pulse. The patient has been lost. Do you know why?
Let me tell you, because where the Republic is targeted, democracy dies first. Because, where buttons are sewn onto robes, justice dies first.
Friends,
Those who have been governing Turkey for 23 years did not just destroy our democracy, they did not just destroy our borders.
They did not just destroy our Constitution. They also destroyed the walls of conscience. They did not just cut down forests, they cut our veins of thought and wisdom; they did not just dry up streams and fields, they also dried up morality.
This is how they created the swamp they settled in.
Yes, today there is a swamp in this dried-up place:
If a martyr's funeral is being glossed over with a subtitle today.
And at the same time, the call of the terrorist leader is being read at another funeral.
The thing that will treat that rot is clear:
To make a choice!
"NO ONE SHOULD EXPECT US TO SPEAK ILL OF THE DEAD"
I would like to underline that we are those who speak openly to everyone, to everyone's face. We have no other pose in front of or behind the camera.
And while saying these things, no one should expect me, or us, to speak ill of the dead.
I am who I am, and I am obligated to express what I represent.
They taught us to stand with respect even during the passing of a funeral we do not know.
Our Prophet's advice to 'remember your dead with goodness' is also a requirement of this obligation and our custom.
However, remembering with goodness does not mean that we will hide behind a dead person and count actions that cannot be remembered with goodness as valid currency.
Kindness and respect for people is our priority attitude.
In second place comes being a citizen. I consider us equal in terms of rights and law.
The third is the plane of ideas, which is our field of struggle.
This is the politics, democracy, and longing for Turkey that we desire.
"NOT THE NAMES OF TURKEY'S FRIENDS, BUT ERDOĞAN'S FRIENDS"
In recent weeks, I said from this podium that it is near for Trump, Netanyahu, and Erdoğan to pose for cooperation in the same photo frame.
These are indicators not of peace in the region, but of Turkey's loneliness.
They are not the names of Turkey's friends, but the names of Erdoğan's friends. The questions are ready: Our world leader is meeting with the US president, shouldn't he meet?
Of course, let them meet. Let the Republic of Turkey and the United States of America meet as two 'equal sovereign' states.
The problem is in a subservience that says, 'I told him to send Pastor Brunson immediately, and he sent him,' that does what it is told when told to 'Do,' and stays silent when told to 'Be silent.'
"A TURKISH NATIONALIST CANNOT VISIT TÜRKEŞ'S GRAVE, IS THAT SO?"
I see with sadness and pity that those who pose as the government are not even close to this wisdom.
A child cannot visit her father's grave, is that so? In the middle of Ankara, in the center, in front of everyone's eyes, a Turkish Nationalist cannot visit the grave of the late Başbuğ Alparslan Türkeş, is that so?
This attempt is a move to separate Alparslan Türkeş from Turkish Nationalists.
"FOR SOME REASON, HE RUNS INTO A PARTY CHAIRMAN AND ATTACKS"
Or the chairman of the main opposition party will be the target of a physical attack; moreover, this could happen in front of hundreds of people, dozens of journalists, is that so?
Have we reached this stage? What is your purpose?
A criminal, and a murderer of children at that, has benefited from the execution law and is walking among us.
On live broadcast, in front of cameras, for some reason, he runs into a party chairman and attacks.
No attack directed at the right to engage in politics granted to every citizen by the Constitution is a simple judicial case.
This is not an ordinary act of force. This is a direct threat to the constitutional order, our democratic life, and the fundamental principles of the Republic.
An attack directed at a deputy, a provincial chairman, or a political party leader is directed not just at one person, but at a right, an institution, and a regime! It means 'I will not let you engage in politics!'
"INSTEAD OF PROTECTING A CHILD, HE PREFERS TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE'S COALITION"
In the incident that took place at Alparslan Türkeş's grave; if the Governorship and the police cannot remove 200 people from there, and instead of protecting a deputy, a woman, a child, and the dear memory of the deceased, they prefer to protect the People's Coalition, they have lost the quality of being a state.
One day, a point comes where the crisis turns into chaos. That is where anarchy is born.
And not your palace, no tyranny can survive this.
Politics is a legitimate fight, a struggle. But the result of that struggle is a negotiation.
Negotiation is also for the salvation of the homeland, the nation, and the state. If it is otherwise, it will have painful consequences for everyone.
The example of this is the process that brought Turkey from the 1970s to 1980. While going to the year 1980, we were hundreds of thousands directed to fight each other instead of fighting for Turkey.
It is true, we fought. But even in our angriest times, no one could say to anyone, 'You are eating the orphan's share.' They did not say, 'You are dishonorable.'
But today, everyone is parceling out a place. They consider every value of the nation as their own property. Our objection is to this.
"WE HAVE DISPLAYED A WILL FOR CHANGE AND RENEWAL IN A RARELY SEEN WAY"
The third call of the speech I made a year ago,
Was to all our Nation, our voters, our cause and fellow travelers who have labored and sweated for our party in the past but were offended for one reason or another.
I said, let us all together make 'the blue sky a tent, the sun a flag.'
Today, the İYİ Party has displayed a will for change and renewal in a way rarely seen in Turkey, and has shown perseverance in this.
At the end of this perseverance, by fulfilling its duty to the Turkish Nation, it will certainly come to power as targeted by the will and necessity that founded it."
