İYİ Party Leader Dervişoğlu: What the CHP is doing is an insult to this nation

Upon his arrival at the Eskişehir Air Martyrs' Cemetery, Dervişoğlu was welcomed by party members, where he laid carnations on the graves of the martyrs and offered prayers.

Dervişoğlu then proceeded with his entourage to the Hasan Polatkan Culture Center in the Odunpazarı district, where his party's Extended Provincial Council Meeting was to be held.

In his speech at the meeting, İYİ Party Chairman Dervişoğlu stated that the debate over a presidential candidate is on Turkey's agenda.

"Attempting to present Turkey's most fundamental issue as if it were an internal matter of the CHP is, in my opinion, an insult to this nation," Dervişoğlu said, continuing as follows:

"The CHP is telling this nation, 'Sir, I will determine my candidate within myself. And if this nation does not support the candidate I have determined, then anyone who does not support my candidate becomes a spoiler.'

So, they will determine a candidate, they will ask the DEM Party, but they won't ask the İYİ Party. Is there any such thing?

Yesterday, someone came out and said, 'The CHP does not need to consult the İYİ Party while determining a candidate.' I do not want to engage with these people, but they need to be put in their place.

We are not interfering in anyone's business anyway. We are sharing the mistakes of both the government and those who pass themselves off as the opposition with the nation, and we are hitting the road to complain about them to the nation."
