Izmir-based operation against FETÖ's TSK structure
Five suspects have been detained in an operation targeting 8 individuals identified as operating within the so-called secret structure of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ/PDY) within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).
Within the scope of the efforts coordinated by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out during the night to apprehend 8 suspects identified as operating within the so-called secret structure of the Fetullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ/PDY) within the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK).
Action was taken around 01:00 at night through a joint effort conducted by the Counter-Terrorism (TEM) Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate of the Izmir Provincial Gendarmerie Command, the Counter-Terrorism Branch Directorate of the Izmir Provincial Security Directorate, and the National Intelligence Organization (MİT).
5 PEOPLE DETAINED
In the simultaneous operation targeting the addresses identified by the teams, a total of 5 people were detained, with 4 suspects in Izmir and 1 suspect in Ankara. It was noted that efforts are ongoing to apprehend 2 suspects determined to be abroad and 1 suspect determined to be within the country.
The judicial proceedings for the suspects are ongoing.
