Izmir's paradise bays face the threat of privatization! 'Now it's the turn of the paradise bays'

CHP Izmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç reacted to President Erdoğan's decision regarding the privatization of 16 plots of land in Izmir. Kılıç stated, "During the AKP era, factories, energy companies, and ports were sold off. Now it is the turn of our paradise bays, green spaces, coastlines, and agricultural lands. They put the property of the people of Izmir up for sale without asking the people of Izmir. Withdraw these privatization decisions immediately."

Izmir's paradise bays face the threat of privatization! 'Now it's the turn of the paradise bays'

CHP Izmir Deputy Sevda Erdan Kılıç reacted to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's decision regarding the privatization of valuable lands in Konak, Karaburun, Dikili, Aliağa, and Çeşme.

"PUT UP FOR SALE WITHOUT ASKING THE PEOPLE OF IZMIR"

Criticizing the decision to privatize 16 plots of land located along the city's coastlines, Kılıç used the following expressions:

"During the AKP era, our factories, which were the accumulation of our 100-year-old Republic, were sold; our energy companies and ports were sold. Our facilities, established with the labor of our farmers and the sweat of our workers, were disposed of one by one. Now it is the turn of our paradise bays, green spaces, coastlines, and agricultural lands. The President included the most beautiful coastlines of our city in the scope of privatization overnight. He put the property of the people of Izmir up for sale without asking the people of Izmir. A total of 16 areas in Aliağa, Çeşme, Dikili, Karaburun, and Konak are within the scope of privatization."

Kılıç expressed the reaction of the people of Izmir against the decision to privatize the historic electric factory in Alsancak and now the lands adjacent to this factory. Furthermore, emphasizing that the valuable lands, coastlines, and beaches on the privatization list belong to the public, she demanded that the privatization decisions be withdrawn immediately.
