Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that 17 suspects have been detained in connection with the forest fires that occurred between June 26 and 28. The Bilecik Gölpazarı Open Prison, which was affected by the fire, was evacuated, and 1,081 detainees and convicts were safely transferred to prisons in neighboring provinces.
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç made a new statement regarding the forest fires. Minister Tunç said, "Within the scope of the multi-faceted and meticulous judicial investigations conducted by the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding the fires, 17 suspects have been detained so far.
The Bilecik Gölpazarı Open Penal Institution was evacuated as a precaution due to the fire, and 1,081 detainees and convicts were safely transferred to open penal institutions in neighboring provinces," he said.

Within the scope of the multi-faceted and meticulous judicial investigations conducted by the relevant Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices regarding the fires, 17 suspects have been detained so far. The Bilecik Gölpazarı Open Penal Institution was evacuated as a precaution due to the fire, and 1,081 detainees and convicts were safely transferred to open penal institutions in neighboring provinces. Their families and relatives have been informed about the process. There is currently no danger in our penal institutions.
