Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's message to Erdoğan: 'We will not give up the struggle': He issued a reminder of the constitutional order
Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu reacted to the government regarding the young people arrested during the protests that began with the arrest of CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
Street protests, which began with Istanbul University students taking to the streets following the cancellation of Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma, have continued to grow after İmamoğlu's arrest.
301 young people, university students who were an active group in the street protests, are still in custody. Calls for freedom for these 301 young people continue from politicians to artists and broad segments of the public.
One of the figures who made a call on this issue was former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Without naming names, Kılıçdaroğlu addressed AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and issued a reminder of the constitutional order.
Kılıçdaroğlu's post:
"Our young children were arrested solely for exercising their constitutional rights. The educational lives of these young people, who have been unlawfully thrown into dungeons and forced to spend the holiday away from their families, are also suffering a heavy blow due to the approaching exams.
As if stealing the future of this country's youth were not enough, now their freedom is being taken away from them as well. All of those young people are both our future and our honor.
We will not give up the struggle until all of our children, who warned you to abide by the constitutional order, are released."
