Kemal Okuyan's response to the Ministry of National Defense: Why are you complaining?

The Ministry of National Defense stated in its remarks regarding NATO and its bases in our country that NATO is being evaluated with incomplete and superficial information; a response to the Ministry's statement came from TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan. 

Making a statement on his social media account, Okuyan said, "The Ministry of National Defense has stated that 'evaluations are being made based on incomplete information regarding NATO headquarters.' You are the ones who are not informing the public, why are you complaining? Furthermore, some elements in your statement are of a nature that will create even more concern and reaction."

Okuyan also noted the following: "Ultimately, this refers to an initiative that will bring Turkey one step closer to the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.  The fact that the 'Ukraine Volunteer Coalition Maritime Elements' is not officially a NATO mission does not mean much. In the end, this is an entity aimed at increasing Ukraine's naval combat power in the Black Sea with the participation of NATO member countries and some non-member countries.

It is clear that such initiatives, described as outside of an 'official NATO mission' to avoid drawing Russia's reaction, will turn the Black Sea into a comprehensive conflict zone."
