Kılıçdaroğlu calls attack on Meler 'shameful'

Kılıçdaroğlu made a statement on his social media account regarding the violent incident. Stating that he strongly condemns the attack on Meler, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made the following statement:

"I strongly condemn the attack carried out against our referee Halil Umut Meler at the end of the MKE Ankaragücü-Çaykur Rizespor match, and I convey my best wishes for a speedy recovery to our FIFA-badged referee Halil Umut Meler.

I believe that the public will follow this incident and that the authorities will do what is necessary to resolve this shameful situation experienced on behalf of the sports community and our country as soon as possible, and to ensure that the feeling that sports are based on friendship, brotherhood, love, and respect is restored."
