Kılıçdaroğlu criticizes Özgür Özel over Erdoğan and meeting: 'You don't negotiate, you struggle'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan came together at the reception held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) for the April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

This meeting, which took place before the Erdoğan–Özel summit expected after the local elections, lasted approximately 10 minutes.

Making a statement after the meeting, AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, “We will meet with Özgür Özel next week.”

Özel stated, “Today, to exchange holiday greetings, he said, ‘Let’s have a tea inside.’ We had our tea, exchanged holiday greetings, and we will meet next week.”

NOT NEGOTIATION, BUT STRUGGLE

Following the confirmation of the meeting to be held between Erdoğan and Özel, a noteworthy post came from the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

In the post he made on his social media account, Kılıçdaroğlu implicitly criticized Özgür Özel and wrote the following:

In a country where millions of our children suffer from nutritional and educational problems,

Where millions of our young people, let alone living their youth, have not even seen the sea in their own country,

Where millions of mothers and fathers are falling into depression due to financial hardship,

Where millions of our retirees cannot make ends meet and are ashamed even before their grandchildren,

Where millions of refugees pose a danger by disrupting the demographic structure of our country,

Where the dollar is over 30 liras and a piece of bread is 10 liras,

Where additional buildings are being rented just to stack enforcement files;

You do not negotiate with the palace that established this order, you struggle against it..!

As Mr. Adnan Yücel said in his poem;

"Palaces and sultanates collapse

blood falls silent one day

oppression ends.

Violets will bloom above us

lilacs will smile.

From these days, what remains

is those who go to tomorrow

and those who resist for tomorrow... "
