Kılıçdaroğlu files criminal complaint against journalist Timur Soykan
Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was reinstated as CHP Chairman by a court decision, has instructed his lawyers to file a criminal complaint following statements made by journalist Timur Soykan regarding him.
Journalist Timur Soykan's remarks during a broadcast on Onlar TV, where he stated, "Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu visited a very important mayor. Kılıçdaroğlu told this person, 'become a confessor, expand the IMM case.' I cannot disclose the name because I have not received approval from that mayor and their relatives," have stirred the political agenda.
According to a report in Sözcü, Kılıçdaroğlu's press advisor Atakan Sönmez stated that the allegations in question do not reflect the truth and announced that legal proceedings would be initiated on behalf of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu against BirGün columnist Timur Soykan. Sönmez stated that the claim is completely baseless.
