Koçarlı District Director of National Education Osman Arıkoğlu shares oath of allegiance to Menzil sheikh

Osman Arıkoğlu, the Director of National Education for the Koçarlı district of Aydın, accidentally shared his oath of allegiance to the Menzil sheikh on his WhatsApp status. In the post, which was visible to everyone on Arıkoğlu's WhatsApp contact list, there was an oath of repentance and allegiance to Seyyid Muhammed Saki, one of the sheikhs of the Menzil branch of the Halidiye wing of the Naqshbandi order.

According to a report by Latif Sansür from Sözcü; the internal order correspondence addressed to 'deputy brothers' included the instruction: "Dear deputy brothers, all deputy brothers should administer the repentance in this way. Do not subtract or add anything from yourselves."

'SOCIAL MEDIA INCOMPETENCE'

Arıkoğlu stated that he made the post by mistake, saying, "Let's call it social media incompetence, God willing."

The text of the repentance is as follows:

"Oh Lord, I regret all the sins I have committed; I wish I had not done them. God willing, I will not do them again. I have accepted. I have accepted Sultan Sheikh Seyyid Muhammed Saqi as my sheikh."
