KRT's new owner Bozfırat responds to allegations

The new owner of KRT TV, businessman Fırat Bozfırat, has rejected claims that he purchased the channel on behalf of CHP Erzincan MP Mustafa Sarıgül.

Fırat Bozfırat is the one who purchased KRT TV. He previously served as Deputy Chairman of the Party for Change in Turkey (TDP), which was founded in 2020 under the leadership of Mustafa Sarıgül.

Speaking to Medya Radar, Bozfırat stated, "Mustafa Sarıgül has no connection to KRT whatsoever; I am the owner of the channel."

Stating that they will make fundamental changes in the new broadcasting season, Bozfırat said, "We will implement projects that will be widely discussed. With new on-screen faces and brand-new programs, KRT will become Turkey's new mainstream media."

Fırat Bozfırat, who paid a deposit of approximately 300 thousand dollars, finalized the agreement on Friday, the deadline for the contract.

Bozfırat's lawyer and financial advisor, who arrived at the channel on Friday, signed the transfer agreement with the former owner of KRT TV, Ali Fırat Atabaş. Following this development, the channel's General Manager, Adnan Bulut, announced yesterday that he had resigned from his position.
