Landlord fights with tenant, injures police officer

A fight broke out between a shop owner and their tenant in Nevşehir. The shop owner drove their vehicle at the police teams arriving at the scene to intervene. One police officer was injured in the incident.

The incident occurred in the evening hours on Saatçi Hoca Street in the Yeni neighborhood. According to allegations, an argument broke out between the shop owner and their tenant. Upon reports from citizens in the area, police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The police teams intervening in the incident removed the shop owner from the scene. The shop owner, Günay Servet Ö., who left the scene in their light commercial vehicle with license plate 33 EF 767, returned to the scene minutes later and drove the vehicle at the plainclothes police officers who were handling the incident. In the incident, a plainclothes police officer identified as Ş.K., serving at the Nevşehir Police Department, was injured. Upon notification by their colleagues, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured police officer was taken to Nevşehir State Hospital after receiving initial treatment at the scene.

Günay Servet Ö., who was taken into custody, was first taken to Nevşehir State Hospital and then to the Public Security Branch Directorate. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
