Law student on watch at Çağlayan: 'The constitutional order is the honor of Turkish citizens'

The 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation stated in its ruling today that it will not implement the Constitutional Court's decision regarding TİP Hatay MP Can Atalay and filed a criminal complaint against the members of the Constitutional Court who issued the decision.

THE OPPOSITION CALLED FOR PROTESTS

Following the decision, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, after an extraordinary meeting of his parliamentary group, called on all citizens to resist against the judicial coup.

LAW STUDENT ON WATCH AT ÇAĞLAYAN

Istanbul University Faculty of Law student Ömer Faruk Aslan announced in a post on his social media account that he had taken tea in his thermos and begun a watch at the Çağlayan Courthouse.

Aslan stated, "Protecting the constitutional order in Turkey is the duty of every citizen. The constitutional order is the honor of Turkish citizens. Today, I am spending my time on watch in front of the Çağlayan Courthouse against the 3rd Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation, which has reached out to touch our honor. If anyone wants to join or chat, I am waiting. (I will have tea)."
