Lawyer Cenk Özdağ:

Lawyer and 12punto columnist Cenk Özdağ made a harsh statement on his social media account regarding the cancellation of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma. Özdağ stated that the principle of "vested rights," one of the fundamental principles of law, has been violated as of today.

Özdağ used the following expressions in his post:

“The state means trust in documents. Those who do this today will cancel IDs and title deeds tomorrow.” Özdağ emphasized that preventing Ekrem İmamoğlu from participating in presidential elections causes great harm to law and justice. He further argued that if the cancellation of İmamoğlu's right to candidacy had been done through a law, it would not have caused such significant damage.
