'Learn your ideal weight' campaign begins: 10 million people targeted

'Learn your ideal weight' campaign begins: 10 million people targeted

The Ministry of Health has taken action to combat obesity rates, which are rising rapidly in Turkey as they are across the world. The 'Learn Your Ideal Weight, Live Healthy' campaign, which is being carried out simultaneously in 81 provinces and will last for two months, aims to reach 10 million people.

In the Ankara leg of the campaign, citizens had their height and weight measured at stands set up at the 15 July Kızılay National Will Square. After the measurements, citizens whose body mass index (BMI) was calculated were provided with information about their ideal weight.

Citizens with a high body mass index were directed by health personnel to healthy living centers and family health centers, ensuring they had access to personalized health counseling.
