Letter from the youths arrested for protesting Erdoğan

Nine Palestine activists who protested President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his speech have been arrested and sent to prison.

Journalist Metin Cihan shared the messages the youths sent from prison.

Emre Tekinkaya, who is being held at Metris Prison, said in his message, "Despite the lawlessness, threats, and all negative accusations, we must struggle against Zionism and its collaborators. We must never let this cruelty happening in Palestine slip from our minds and we must not stop talking about it."

Şeyma Yıldırım, who is being held at Silivri Prison, sent the message, "I am proud to be here for the Palestinian cause. I trust the Palestine supporters on the outside."

'I INVITE FRIENDS OF PALESTINE TO BE OUR VOICE'

Sena Eliküçük, who is in Silivri, said the following:

"As a lawyer at the beginning of my career, it is shameful to see justice so disregarded at the very start of the road. We are honored to shout the truth. I invite my bar association, legal professionals who still respect human rights, and all friends of Palestine, regardless of any ideological differences, to be our voice."

A detainee named Cahit, who is being held at Metris Prison, said, "All we wanted, all our concern was to stop the genocide in Gaza, to prevent even a needle from going to Israel through these lands. Let it not be forgotten that SOCAR is sending oil to Israel through our lands. We wanted to prevent this. That was our goal."
