LGS central exam has ended! When will the answer key and results be announced?

The two sessions of the central exam under the High School Transition System (LGS), conducted by the Ministry of National Education (MEB) for 1 million 38 thousand 192 students in the 8th grade of middle school, have been completed.

The central exam was held in 62 thousand 663 classrooms across 3 thousand 891 schools in 973 domestic exam centers, and in 35 classrooms across 11 schools in 11 exam centers abroad.

The exam began at 09:30. In the first session, students were asked a total of 50 questions from the subjects of Turkish, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, and Foreign Language, with a response time of 75 minutes.

The second session began at 11:30. In this session, students answered 40 questions from Mathematics and Science in 80 minutes. With the conclusion of the exam at 12:50, both sessions of the central exam were completed.

During the 45-minute break between the two exam sessions, students went out into the school courtyards to attend to their needs.

WHEN WILL THE EXAM RESULTS BE ANNOUNCED?

Question booklets can be provided tomorrow if students request them. The answer key is expected to be published on the ministry's website this afternoon.

The number of correct and incorrect answers for each sub-test in the verbal and numerical sections will be determined. Each student's raw score for each sub-test will be calculated by subtracting one-third of the number of incorrect answers from the number of correct answers for the relevant test.

Exam results will be announced on June 28. Exam result documents will not be sent to students by mail.

With the announcement of the exam results, the Secondary Education Transition Preference and Placement Guide will also be published, and the high school placement process will begin.

The high schools for students who did not take the exam will be determined through local placement.
